Jockey Club Infection Control Training and Support Project
After experiencing 3 years of the COVID-19 pandemic, people from all walks of life in Hong Kong have been affected to various degrees. To better prepare for the impact of the next wave of infectious disease outbreak, it is particularly important to enhance the understanding and attention of different industries to the importance of infection control, as well as to improve their infection prevention abilities and response capabilities.
Thanks to the donation from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Hong Kong Red Cross is launching a 5-year "Jockey Club Infection Control Training and Support Project " from June 2023. The project aims to enhance the infection control capabilities of five most impacted sectors, namely the social service sector, education sector, catering, hotel, and property management industries, thereby reducing the spread of infectious diseases and protecting the health of Hong Kong citizens.
The project will involve three core services: infection control training courses and support service, infection control consultation and other services, and infection control promotion campaign. It is expected to reach over 2,000 service locations and provide training and support for over 50,000 employees, effectively enhancing infection control measures at the facilities and the relevant knowledge of the employees.
